Boun Ork Pansa Festival

Boun Ork Pansa occurs on the full moon marking the end Buddhist Lent.  Monks who were ordained for the three months of Lent can leave the temple and rejoin their families. During the evening of Ork Pansa small banana-leaf boats called Heua Fai are launched on rivers with offerings of incence candles and small amount of money to bring luck and prosperity.
