Turn left out of the airport onto Route 10, shortly crossing the Nam Ngam River and dam. Continue along this road until you reach the cross road with Route 7 with a petrol station on the corner. Just after Chittavanh Hotel (a bright peach colored hotel), turn left onto a dirt road with the Vansana Plain of Jars Hotel sign posted. Follow the dirt road around to the left and continue following the road as it head to the right and heads up the hill. Vansana Plain of Jars Hotel is a prominent property that can be seen from points on the main street and clearly visible as you head up the hill.

From the Provincial Bus Station:

The Provincial Bus Station is located approximately 3km west of Phonsavan on Route 7. Turn right on exiting the bus station and follow Route 7 into the centre of town. Continue along this road passing Phonsavan Market. Just after Chittavanh Hotel (a bright peach colored hotel), turn left onto a dirt road with the Vansana Plain of Jars Hotel sign posted. Follow the dirt road around to the left and continue following the road as it head to the right and heads up the hill.
