Phou Chanh Resort & Hotel

Phou Chanh Resort & Hotel offers guests an arrival transfer for a small charge per person.

Alternatively song taews and tuk tuks frequent the airport and bus stations and will bring you to Phou Chanh Resort & Hotel for a few dollars (approx. 20,000 kip) per person. Alternatively, if there is no song taews waiting, you can ask another hotel transfer for a lift into town if they have room and pay them approximately the same amount or a little less that you would for the song taew. Ask around and often drivers or hotel staff will approach you.

From the Airport:

Turn left out of the airport onto Route 10, shortly crossing the Nam Ngam River and dam. There are 2 routes you can take to get to Phou Chanh Resort. You can either continue along this road until you reach the cross road with Route 7 with a petrol station on the right corner. Turn right onto Route 7 and continue to the very end of this road passing Phonsavan Market. Continue straight through a large intersection with Route 4066 and Xieng Khouang Hotel on the left. You will see the bright yellow post office on your right hand side after you pass through the intersection. Continue another couple of minutes to the end where the road divides and curves naturally to the left. You will see Sengtavane Guesthouse in front of you. Follow the road to the left and Phou Chanh Resort & Hotel is sign posted immediately after turning and you will have to turn right off the main road. Follow this road for 1km passing shops and local schools and houses before you see another sign where you turn left off this road and start the meandering climb up the mountain to the resort.

Alternatively, after leaving the airport heading north on Route 10, turn right just after the Nam Ngam Market and opposite the Tourist Information Centre onto Haihin Road. Follow this large, divided road to the very end, passing the intersection with Route 4066. Turn left at the end onto Route 4068 until you see the signs for Phou Chanh Resort & Hotel just after the junction with the main street.

From the Provincial Bus Station:

The Provincial Bus Station is located approximately 3km west of Phonsavan on Route 7. Turn right on exiting the bus station and follow Route 7 into the centre of town. Continue to the very end of this road passing Phonsavan Market. Continue straight through a large intersection with Route 4066 and Xieng Khouang Hotel on the left.
